WASHINGTON, D.C. Feb. 12 (DPI) – Steve Ballmer’s USAFacts.org site remains among the most trusted information sources about the US economy and government, producing a steady diet of easy-to-read posts based on data it retrieves from government sources. USAFacts continues to be ranked by AdFontes Media as the most reliable and unbiased source for information generally:
That’s even as government data itself – especially jobs data – is showing signs of losing a once-sterling reputation for accuracy and integrity.
Last August, President Trump fired the director of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because Trump didn’t like the latest jobs data. That prompted USAFacts.org to issue a statement on the importance of accurate information.
There’s been little in the business press to cast doubt on the accuracy of government jobs statistics since last August – but USAFacts has been focusing more on other statistics – including those derived from state and county entities, which are less likely to be politically influenced.
