NEW YORK, NY (DPI) Jan. 11 – A Wall Street Journal Op-Ed co-written by a Democratic DC pollster laid out a surprisingly plausible theory of a Hillary Clinton political comeback in 2024, but most readers hooted and sneered at the prospect.

Pollster Douglas Shoen and former NYC politician Andrew Stein wrote that the Biden Administration is “disorganized and unpopular” and that the only way for Dems to reclaim the political center is to field a moderate candidate. They say Clinton is that candidate.

It was all rather odd to read in the WSJ, and led some conservative readers to suggest the whole idea is just a ploy to “take the Democrats’ eyes off the ball” in the coming election cycles. Many conservatives would relish an election replay with Clinton – except perhaps with Trump as the GOP’s nominee in 2024.

They also said that “based on her latest public statements, it’s clear that Mrs. Clinton not only recognizes her position as a potential front-runner but also is setting up a process to help her decide whether or not to run for president again.”

All of this in the conservative pages of The Wall Street Journal, whose readers skew well to the right compared with NYT and Washington Post readers. And comments reflected it. The top comment sounded like Trump himself, whose name was never even mentioned in the op-ed:

Hillary is a total, complete and historic disaster. She represents everything that is wrong with America’s political class. She needs to go away…forever.

Hahahahahahaha…am I reading The Onion!?  Great laugh…

Few things will galvanize and motivate the GOP more.

Just what we need another decrepit 70 something.  She will be 77 in 2024.  Same reason Trump should not run again. 

Haha, is this a joke? Trotting out Hillary Clinton as the “change” candidate?

It’s time again for my favorite Clinton joke that rings true:
Bill is walking on the beach and comes across an oil lamp.  He rubs it, a genie pops out and says, sorry, times are tough; you only get one wish.
Bill pulls a map out of his pocket of the Middle East and says, “See these countries, they are always fighting.  I always wanted to be the one that brought peace to the middle east.” The genie says, “That’s impossible, those guys have been fighting for a 1000 years.  Make another wish.

Bill pulls out a photo of Hillary and says, “Everyone hates her, thinks she is ugly, and is corrupt.  I want everyone to admire her, think that she is beautiful, and look up to her.
The genie sighs and says, “Lemme see that map again.”
This deplorable is one who hopes she does run again.  I can’t wait.
