With Scaramucci Ouster, Some Readers Are Beginning to Enjoy the Entertainment

WASHINGTON, D.C.  July 31 (DPI) – After months of hand-wringing and doomsday posts, readers of major news sites now seem to be accepting that the Trump Administration is little more than an entertaining reality show, its latest episode the ouster of communications director Anthony Scaramucci after 10 days on the job.  “That’s a shame,” wrote one poster whose comment quickly became among the highest recommended. “I was starting to enjoy his character in the show.”

The New York Times reported that Scaramucci, the New York hedge fund executive who was named White House communications director just days ago, was fired by the president’s new chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly, on Kelly’s first day on the job.

Scaramucci made himself a household name by dropping an expletive-filled rant criticizing Reince Priebus and political strategist Steve Bannon last week.

The Washington Post’s site saw more more than 1,600 reader comments in the first two hours after the report.  Most popular comment: “The clown car is in high gear. Amazing.”  Another: “Those of you out there (way out there) who voted for Trump: You happy yet? We done yet? Can we go home now?”

Whatever the case, the chaos continues for the Trump White House, although some comments suggested that bringing Kelly in to replace Priebus as chief of staff may be a major plus for this president.

Among the most popular comments on NYTimes.com this afternoon:

Who knew this administration would break two records in less than a week. First, the chief of staff gets cut after 189 days on the job and now the communications director gets cut after 10 days. Can’t handle all this winning

That’s a shame. I was starting to enjoy his character in the show.

Night show comedians everywhere are distraught.

We will all mourn the loss of such an eloquent communicator who showed us so clearly how Mr. Trump thinks and feels.

All this winning has left me exhausted!

Scaramucci’s behavior last week combined with Trump’s utter incompetence have honestly taken a toll on my mental health. This is a good start but we need Trump out office now.
